Are you ready for the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018

The wiring regulations were first introduced in 1882 and consisted of literally one page of paper and mentioned some very basic safety of electricity and lighting. Over the years the electrical technology and safety has advanced considerably, and on the 2nd July 2018 sees the introduction of the 18th version of these much-respected regulations which cover the safety, design and electrical testing of electrical installations covering Extra Low and Low Voltage applications up to 1000V AC/ 1500V DC.



Unlike previous changes to these wiring regulations, the 18th Edition version will become a legal requirement from the 1st January 2019 meaning that any person working in the Electrotechnical Industry must complete the course to be fully compliant with Legislation. The 17th Edition will become obsolete and no longer recognised in the industry. As such all operatives, no matter what they perform, must achieve the 18th Edition course as any previous version will no longer be recognised.

From 9th July 2018 Training in Electrical will be delivering either 1 or 2-day courses throughout the week to cater for operatives wishing to achieve this new and legal qualification.
If you have completed the 17th Edition qualification within 12 months previously to the release of the latest version, you will qualify to attend a 1-day update course. Candidates who are new to this qualification, or who presently hold an older version will be advised to attend out 2-day course.
