Training in Electrical Ltd is pleased to announce that Robert Hurley has been accepted as the STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Maths) Ambassador for the North Midlands, South Yorkshire and East Yorkshire region of the UK. This voluntary position will involve him working closely with children, parents, teachers and community groups in prompting STEM skills to future engineers. His role will enrich and enhance the quality of teaching by bringing learning and cutting-edge concepts from business and industry into the classroom.
Last year Training in Electrical Ltd became a partner in the Government’s “Year of Engineering 2018” and made a pledge to promote and develop new learners ready to enter the Construction Industry. It is estimated that over the next 2 years the UK will have a shortfall of over 100,000 Engineers per year.
STEM Learning is the largest provider of education and career support and is a unique partnership of Government, charitable trusts and employers, ambassadors are dedicated to raising young people’s engagement and achievement in STEM subjects and careers
